Plasma Rich In Growth Factors (PRGF)

PRGF (plasma rich in growth factor), also known as the brand name Endoret, makes a radical difference to the recovery period after a dental implant has been placed as it accelerates the healing process remarkably.

PRGF and dental implants

When a dental implant is placed, a small wound is made in both the gum and the bone below. The body’s natural response to any post-operative site is to produce proteins to start the healing process. We use PRGF to isolate these proteins from a small sample and apply them to the wound to accelerate the healing process.

How is PRGF prepared?

To produce the PRGF we simply take a small sample of your patient’s blood and prepare it in a specific way. This creates a concentrated mix of product, which our surgeon will apply towards the end of the treatment to kick-start the healing process.

Does PRGF work well?
