Dental Referral Centre in Weybridge
Traditionally, when more than one tooth is missing a conventional dental bridge is used; however, this means that the natural surrounding teeth have to be damaged so that they can hold the bridge in place.
Using modern dentistry, we can replace more than one tooth with dental implants so that the other natural teeth are not damaged by having their enamel removed. This in turn means that the remaining teeth’s life expectancy isn’t limited and teeth can be replaced in any position in the mouth, even at the end of rows where a bridge would not be possible.
At Oatlands Referral Centre we provide implants to fill in multiple gaps as an alternative option to dentures or bridges.
We often find that patients have had previous bad experiences with bridges or dentures so take extra care to assess their situation and put them at ease. As well as our chair side assessments, we use 3D CT-scans and digital radiographs to conduct a special, in-depth investigation.
Dr Paryani, who is an expert in prosthodontic, pays great attention to the overall conclusion and aims to provide harmonious restorations based on evidence-based techniques.
We also use a combination of CAD-CAM milling devices and 3D scanners to provide highly accurate implant placing and Plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) from the patient themselves to give a quicker and easier healing period. Our dentists also utilise skills such as Cone Beam CT and virtual planning to negate the need for traditional methods that take a longer time.
These planning and assessment methods also ensure that the surgery is kept to a minimum and is less invasive and that implants can be anchored more accurately and firmly. The Cone Beam Scan is carried out prior to surgery using very low radiation and we provide you, as the patient’s main practitioner, with a 3D image of the patient’s mouth and indicate where the implants will go.
After the dental process, the patient’s healing time is quick and they may not even require stitches if we utilise gum supported guides.
