Dermal Fillers

As we age, the skin’s production of collagen slows down so the skin starts to lose its plumpness and elasticity.

Restylane is a synthetically created solution of hyaluronic acid, a substance that is naturally found in the skin and traps water to give the skin volume, elasticity and resistance to wrinkles. It is a clean gel that is biocompatible and biodegradable so it gives quick results with very little risk of adverse effects. It lasts around 6-9 months and then is absorbed into the body.

This type of dermal fillers does not cause any scars or sagging after it has been absorbed into the body and is particularly effective for plumping the skin around the mouth, for example to boost the cupid’s bow or erase a horizontal ‘smoker’s line’.

Like with Botulinum toxin injections, there is minimal discomfort from the treatment and we can apply a topical numbing agent if requested.
